AION 2 Legion guide: size, levels, ranks and the Hall
A Legion opens with the story quest Renewed Resolve (Elyos) or Buried Atrocities (Asmodian), both level 16. Creating one costs 100,000 Kinah; joining needs level 1. Every one of the 20 legion levels holds up to 128 members with 4 Elite Officer seats, and each level adds to the legion buff — at level 20 +3% EXP, +80 HP and small Attack, Defense, Accuracy and Evasion bonuses. A Hall rents for 1,000,000 Kinah per 30 days from legion level 1.

“Legion EXP” is the table's running total (AccumulateExp); NeedExp is 0 on every row. What earns legion EXP is not in the client — the server decides it. Stats print as the game prints them (StatCorrectionNumber): EXP Gain 1% is stored as 100. Elite Officer seats: 4 at every level; Deputy Commander seats: 0 at every level, though the member menu has an “Appoint Deputy Commander” button.
Create, join and leave
Unlock and create
- Finish the story quest Renewed Resolve (Elyos) or Buried Atrocities (Asmodian), level 16.
- Pay 100,000 Kinah and name it: “1-12 characters, with no spaces or special characters” Once set, the Legion name cannot be changed.
- Pick a crest and how people join: Open, By Approval, or a password of 1–6 characters.
- Introduction up to 48 characters (shown in the list), announcement up to 160.
You may change Legion name and introduction as long as they comply with the Operations Policy.

- From level 1 once the legion menu is open.
- “You can apply to join up to 3 Legions.”
- “The 100 most recently established Legions can be found through search.”
- A legion holds up to 20 applications; after a refusal you can apply again in 60 seconds.
- The list and the application show your Reputation Points; the member list ranks by Total and Weekly Reputation.
Leave
The High Commander may only leave the Legion by disbanding it or after reassigning leadership to another member.
Legion members other than the High Commander may leave without restriction.
Leaving takes away 10% of your Reputation Points (GlobalSetting delete_reputation_value_rate_for_leaving_guild = 10; our reading of the name).
The legion record keeps 300 entries for 30 days: joins, leaves, kicks, rank changes, Hall rentals.
Ranks and what each may do
GuildMemberGradeAuthority: the default permissions of each rank, one bit per EGuildAuthority value. The High Commander can change them in Authority Settings. Permission names are ours, from the enum's names and the client's menu words.

The Hall
GuildAgit: 4 Halls, one per starting region. The game: “Manage the Legion Hall in [Main Menu] - [Legion] - [Hall]. You can build a hall for your Legionnaires to gather when you create a Legion. The Hall can be reached via Airship or the Hall UI.”

| Hall | Faction | Legion level | Rent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hall (Verteron) | Elyos | 1+ | 1,000,000 Kinah / 30 days |
| Hall (Altgard) | Asmodians | 1+ | 1,000,000 Kinah / 30 days |
| Hall (Eltnen) | Elyos | 1+ | 1,000,000 Kinah / 30 days |
| Hall (Morheim) | Asmodians | 1+ | 1,000,000 Kinah / 30 days |
- Renting and extending is a permission (only the High Commander by default). The client starts warning 30 minutes before a rental ends.
- “Leave the Hall? You will keep the Hall even if you leave.”
- Every Hall row is the Common grade; the client also names Advanced and Luxury grades and an “Upgrade Hall” button — “Upgrade the Hall? Upgrading will apply a {0}-day rental.” — but no Hall of those grades is in the table yet.
- Each row also carries a 3-day rental limit (RentalLimitDay); the client does not say what it limits.
- Getting there:
Hall Return Scroll (Bound) or the Hall menu. - Pantheon: 294 statues, colossi and artworks to display — Legion house decor. “The item will disappear upon decoration.” “Removed items will not be returned.”
Legion Storage
GlobalSetting: 20 slots to start, +10 per expansion; GuildStorageExtension: 31 expansions, legion level 1.
| Expansions | Slots | Kinah in total |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | 70 | 8,000 |
| 10 | 120 | 47,000 |
| 15 | 170 | 232,000 |
| 20 | 220 | 1,112,000 |
| 25 | 270 | 5,012,000 |
| 31 | 330 | 31,712,000 |
From 20 to 330 slots costs 31,712,000 Kinah in all; single expansions cost 1,000 Kinah up to 8,400,000 Kinah. Depositing and taking out is free (guild_storage_cost_store / _takeout = 0).
Only 3,768 of the client's 9,261 items may go into Legion Storage (Item.CanGuildStorage) — see what can be shared between characters.
By default Soldiers can deposit but not take out; Elite Officers can do both (the table above).
Not in the client
Searched for and not found in the global client's tables — these are server-side or not in the game yet.
- Legion EXP sources. Only the level totals are stored; the server decides what earns legion EXP and Reputation. The legion money “Legion Public Points” has a name and no table that pays it.
Legion Coin. “Currency provided to those who bring honor to their legion.” No shop or recipe spends it, and the Legion Shop only repeats the general potion list.- Legion war and legion bosses. The code knows legion relations (Alliance, Neutral, Hostile, Hostiled) and a legion ranking by Exp and MonsterPoint, but no table or text uses them. The siege in the game is the faction-wide Artifact Siege.
- Legion quests. No quest type is for legions. “Legion Base Ruins”, Dawn Legion and Notos Legion are places and NPC legions of the story, not player legions.
Questions
How big can a legion be in AION 2?
128 members at every legion level from 1 to 20 (GuildData.MaxMemberNum) — leveling the legion raises the buff, not the cap. 4 members can be Elite Officers.
How do you create or join a legion?
It opens with the story quest Renewed Resolve (Elyos) or Buried Atrocities (Asmodian), level 16 (ContentsUnlock). Creating costs 100,000 Kinah; the name is 1–12 characters — “1-12 characters, with no spaces or special characters” and “Once set, the Legion name cannot be changed.” To join, search the list or open a legion's page: “You can apply to join up to 3 Legions.” A legion holds up to 20 applications, and joins can be Open, By Approval or with a 1–6 character password.
How do you leave a legion?
The High Commander may only leave the Legion by disbanding it or after reassigning leadership to another member. Legion members other than the High Commander may leave without restriction. Leaving costs 10% of your legion Reputation Points (GlobalSetting delete_reputation_value_rate_for_leaving_guild; our reading of the field).
What are the legion benefits?
A buff for every member that grows with the legion's level — at level 20: 7 stats, up to +3% EXP and +80 HP — plus the Hall (rent 1,000,000 Kinah / 30 days), its Pantheon decorations, and Legion Storage (20 slots, up to 330).
What can each legion rank do?
By default the High Commander holds all 12 permissions; an Elite Officer can edit the announcement, edit the introduction, approve or decline applications, deposit in legion storage, take from legion storage; a Soldier can deposit in legion storage. The High Commander can change these in Authority Settings (GuildMemberGradeAuthority, bits of EGuildAuthority).
How does a legion gain levels?
The client stores only the totals: 1,000 legion EXP at level 1 up to 767,500 at level 20 (GuildData.AccumulateExp). What earns legion EXP is decided by the server; the member list shows Total and Weekly Reputation per member.
Is there legion war or siege in AION 2?
Not as legion content in the client. Its code has legion relations (Alliance, Neutral, Hostile, Hostiled) and a legion ranking by Exp and MonsterPoint, but no table or text uses them. The siege that exists is the faction-wide Artifact Siege in the Abyss.
What is Legion Coin?
“Currency provided to those who bring honor to their legion.” No shop or recipe in the client spends it yet.
