Kinah: where it comes from, the caps, what it buys
Kinah is called Kina in the AION 2 client and comes in two kinds: Kina (Bound) from quests, achievements, Sealed Dungeon chests and Exploration cubes, and tradable Kina from the other Odyle Energy Cube bosses. The repeatable sources the tables show are the 5 Duty missions a day (50,000 bound Kinah each, about 298,125 a day with the bonus roll) and the reward cubes (200,000 unbound Kinah in a Krao Cave Conquest cube; 3 cubes a day on the free Odyle Energy refill). Unbound Kinah is capped at 1,000,000 a day, and cube Kinah shrinks once a server has played a mode many times in a week. Quests and achievements pay once: 19,722,200 bound Kinah in all. 2.0.6.0 hotfix 1.
Kinah per day from repeatable sources
Only sources that repeat and whose Kinah is in the tables. Per-day figures are our products of the table fields; none is a measured income.

Formulas (ours): Duty missions = 5 × 50,000; the bonus is the mean of each mission's random reward slots, chance × weight share of the Kinah entries × the middle of their min–max (an even spread is our assumption). Cubes = (energy a day ÷ energy a cube) × Kinah in the cube, at the full rate, before the weekly reduction below and counting only cubes you can open with refill alone; the reward-count limits of each dungeon (checklist) come on top. Modes whose boss tables the client points at another dungeon are left out of this row.
Not in the client: what the Market pays, what players charge for materials, how many runs a week a server really plays. Nothing else that repeats pays a fixed amount of Kinah in the tables: the Duty scroll quests pay no fixed Kinah, and Arena and Abyss rewards are points.

You have reached the maximum Kina value that can be acquired today. Item drops and gains from the following content will be limited - When playing solo, regular monsters will not drop any more items. - When playing in a party or force in the field, regular monsters will not drop any more items or Kina for you and party/force members. - When playing in a party or force in a dungeon, regular monsters will drop items, but your ability to receive them will be limited. Items and Kina will drop normally for party and force members, and they can receive them normally.
Debuff 19002 (SkillAbnormalString). The HUD labels the counter “Daily Obtainable Kina” and “Daily Gain Limit”; the message “Obtainable Kina amount has been exceeded.” appears when it is hit. The client does not list which sources count toward it; the limit currency is unbound Kinah (daily_kina_limit_currency_type), so bound Kinah from quests is outside it.
Kinah in the Odyle Energy Cube, and the weekly reduction
Each cube's boss tables always give Kinah (RewardItem rows with a 100% chance). Weekly Cumulative Play Reward Adjustment: the share of it you get falls as the server's weekly play count rises (KinaLimit).

Play counts for each game mode are accumulated weekly on a per-server basis. Once a server's cumulative play count exceeds certain thresholds, the amount of Kina obtainable from Odyle Energy Cubes is reduced. The further the cumulative play count exceeds these thresholds, the greater the reduction in Kina rewards.
KinaLimit has one row per play count (0–200) and six rates; columns 1–4 are read as Easy, Normal, Advanced and Hard, the order of ECurrencyLimitContentsCategory, and each dungeon's group is its Dungeon.CurrencyLimitCategory (our reading; the client names no column). The tooltip says the count is per game mode and per server. The Kinah in a cube is multiplied by this percent: our reading, as the text says the Kinah “is reduced”. * marks modes whose boss tables are Draupnir's (a placeholder).

Kinah questions
How do I make Kinah in AION 2?
From the tables: finish the 5 Duty missions a day (50,000 bound Kinah each, plus a bonus roll that averages about 9,625); open Odyle Energy Cubes, whose boss tables hold 75,000–1,000,000 Kinah a cube, 3 cubes a day on the free refill at 40 energy; do each quest and achievement once for their fixed Kinah; sell to NPCs. The caps below limit the unbound part. What other players pay for materials is not in the client.
Is there a daily Kinah limit?
Yes: 1,000,000 unbound Kinah a day (GlobalSetting daily_kina_limit, reset 16:00, active from level 10). At the limit the game places a debuff (abnormal 19002) whose text reads: "You have reached the maximum Kina value that can be acquired today." and then limits drops. Whether Odyle Energy Cube Kinah counts toward the limit is not spelled out.
What is the difference between Kina and Kina (Bound)?
Currency used throughout Atreia, but unavailable in certain content. Kina (unbound) is "Currency used in the Market and Kina Chest (Substance Morph)." Prices in shops take Kina (All), which spends the bound part first. Quests, achievements and Sealed Dungeon chests pay bound Kinah; the Odyle Energy Cube boss tables pay unbound Kinah (GoldNonbinding) in Conquest, Transcendence and Abyssal Forge: Ludra, and bound Kinah (Gold) in Exploration.
Why does a reward cube pay less Kinah some weeks?
"Play counts for each game mode are accumulated weekly on a per-server basis. Once a server's cumulative play count exceeds certain thresholds, the amount of Kina obtainable from Odyle Energy Cubes is reduced. The further the cumulative play count exceeds these thresholds, the greater the reduction in Kina rewards." The KinaLimit table gives the steps: for Easy (Exploration) modes the cube pays 100% for the server's first 6 plays of the week, 60% from the 7th, 20% from the 14th and nothing from the 21st; the other categories start later. Table below.
What sells for the most Kinah?
NPC sell prices are in the item tables. The top ones are crafted Dragon Lord gear (up to 179,393) and, among drops, Colossus: Guardian Lord Nahma at 3,600. What the Market pays is set by players and is not in the client.
What do I spend Kinah on?
Shop goods, crafting fees, Enhance and other upgrades, and the Wind Breeze Merchants, which price their goods in Kinah. The what-to-do-with page for Kina lists every use found in the tables.
