How it's counted

The 1,000 strongest characters by Combat Power of each Global region count once (NA East, NA West, Europe, Latin America, Asia: 5,000 players). For every class: its share of them ÷ its share of all ranked characters of the same regions, each region weighed the same. Ranger: 18.7% of the top ÷ 11.5% of everyone = 1.62×. 1.00× means the class is as common at the top as among all players; 1.50× means half as many again.

Ranked = level-45 characters updated in the last 35 days (479,224 now). A region counts from 10,000 of them. The top 100s are shown beside each class but don't set the tier: 500 players move a lot from week to week.

Combat Power is NCSOFT's own number and the game doesn't publish its formula, so a class it scores higher would also show up more. This list says who reaches the top, not who deals the most damage — the game has no numbers for that — and not who a party needs.

Tier list questions

What is the best class in AION 2?

By who reaches the top: Ranger. It is 18.7% of the 1,000 strongest players of each Global region by Combat Power, 1.62× its share of all ranked players. The game publishes no damage numbers, so no list can rank classes by damage; this one counts who the strongest players play.

Is this a PvE or a PvP tier list?

Neither on its own. The rankings sort characters by Combat Power, which counts gear, skills and Daevanion boards whatever you play. For PvE and PvP builds, see the class guides; for what the top players of a class run, see its class meta page.

Does C tier mean a class is bad?

No. C means the class reaches each region's top 1,000 less often than its share of all players predicts (now Templar, Cleric, Chanter and Spiritmaster). Combat Power is NCSOFT's number and may not weigh every class the same, and a party needs its tanks and healers whatever the list says.

How often does the tier list change?

It is counted again every 6 hours from the rankings, where each region's top 1,000 are updated about every 3 days. The date at the top is the latest update it counts.

Character data comes from NCSOFT's public character service (the official AION 2 character search). Combat Power and Item Level are the numbers it reports; the game doesn't publish their formulas. Rankings cover level-45 characters updated in the last 35 days. They are not official rankings.
