About & sources

Aion2Data is an independent reference built by a program that reads a copy of the game.

Every number here comes from the AION 2 global client, version 2.0.6.0 (Steam build 25767555, updated 2026-10-07), read on 2026-10-08. Nothing is typed in by hand and no text about the game is written by us: names, descriptions and quest text are the game's own English, shown in quotation style.

The game keeps its data in encrypted tables inside the Unreal Engine archives. We decode them with the open-source CUE4Parse library and a community-maintained schema of the game's structures, then turn the 9,261 items and the other tables into these pages. Icons and artwork are the game's own.

What is read from where

Items: the Item table (stats, the random stat pool and its weights, slots, prices) and the game's stat display rules (StatCorrectionNumber). Names: the game's English localization and its own names for categories and grades — so an item the files call "Legend" shows as Epic, as in the game.

Our own numbers — roll chances, expected costs, expected kills — are calculated from those tables. Each one names its formula and its assumptions on the page where it appears.

After a patch

AION 2 patches weekly. The whole site is re-read from the patched client, so every page states the build it shows.
