If only I could reach him, surely... surely he would save her. Date: xx/xx It has been half a month since arriving at the sanctum, yet Elira's condition shows no improvement. My prayers are answered only with silence. The pilgrims told me that my faith must be lacking. Date: xx/xx Elira died today. I felt her small, fragile hand grow cold in mine. No more prayers.
