Kaisinel's Shadow Vol. 2

Kaisinel's Cavaliers and the High Priestess of Illusion During the Millennium War, the 12 Empyrean Lords used the Cavaliers as a place to pass on their teaching to their Daeva and human followers. Kaisinel's Cavaliers built Verteron Fortress and were called the "Illusion Cavaliers", as they followed Kaisinel, the Empyrean Lord of illusion and fear. The high priests were the leaders of the Cavaliers, whose duty it was to act as the servants and agents of the Empyrean Lords they followed. However, when the Tower fell and the Balaur invaded, the Empyrean Lords used up all of their power to create the Bulwark before being destroyed. The Empyrean Lord Kaisinel was among them. The Cavaliers naturally began to fall apart due to the attacking Balaur. When Verteron Fortress was attacked, the Illusion Cavaliers resisted and fought to protect the fortress and sanctum until the very end. Some even dug tunnels underground and fought to the last. Rumors began to circulate that the high priest, who had a duty to fulfill, had vanished and gone insane, and the remaining Illusion Cavaliers died or dispersed. Since then, the high priest's location is unknown.
