Concerning the Core of Empyrean Lord Zikel
After the Last War, the AION Tower collapsed, and the Empyrean Lords used all their powers to erect a Bulwark to stop the Balaur's invasion. Empyrean Lord Zikel also provided His strength to this effort, before being pushed back to the Impetusium.
When Empyrean Lords suffer extinction or lose so much power that they are unable to maintain their shape, they return to their primal form—their Cores.
In other words, they return to the form of power bestowed on them by AION when creating Atreia long ago.
Thus, it is presumed that the Empyrean Lords who vanished after the Bulwark was erected met this fate.
Currently buried all around Atreia, these Cores are intangible, and cannot be owned, used, nor carried. Even if we consider the power within them as some kind of essence of nature, it is not consumed when used.
Unfortunately for those seeking such immense power, the Cores cannot be sensed through Odyle Energy, and it is said that only those permitted to do so by an Empyrean Lord may find them.
If Empyrean Lord Zikel truly has suffered extinction or lost all His strength and returned to His Core...
