Hithanya: Kaidros ran into some trouble. Thought it'd be good if you heard this too.
Hithanya: So, tell us what happened, Kaidros.
Kaidros: There's been an incident. A Fossa attacked a legionnaire and bolted.
Hithanya: Why would a tame Fossa suddenly attack a legionnaire? Was there an issue with its care or enclosure?
Kaidros: No, nothing like that. But the one that ran was always a problem. We'd been patient with training it, and then this happened...
Hithanya: *sigh* I get the picture. So we just need to track down that Fossa?
Kaidros: Yes. I'm counting on you. Assistant Handler Minos chased it all the way to the Eastern Cantas Valley, so go there first.
Kaidros: Oh, and this goes without saying, but try to capture the Fossa alive if you can. It was a troublemaker, but all my Fossa are precious to me.
Hithanya: I'll consider it, if it doesn't put up a fight. Let's move, ‹your name›.

Minos: Did you find the Fossa?
Minos: I see... Kaidros favored that one greatly, saying it had potential... What a shame.
Minos: There's nothing we could've done. It was an accident, no one's fault. But we'll need to figure out how to prevent this in the future.
Minos: Anyway, thanks for your help.
When it is done
"Creatures that don't become Odyle sometimes leave behind crystals like this." A ferocious Fossa being trained by Kaidros attacked a legionnaire and fled, causing havoc at a Daeva camp on the way. After finally tracking it down, the Fossa was found dead, with a glittering object on its corpse—a crystal said to allow communication with the creature's soul. By returning the Fossa's crystal to Kaidros, the incident of the Fossa's escape was finally brought to an end.
