With the Dawn

Janna: Hello! You've just joined our Legion, right? Welcome!

Janna: All right, first, this is the application you need to submit if you wish to join the Dawn Legion!

Janna: Right now, I'm organizing the list of Dawn Legionnaires. It shouldn't take long.

Janna: Here, please fill out this paper!

Janna: There are documents you need to fill out! Don't forget!

Janna: Ahhh! Wait a minute! Give it back! Not that one, this one!

Janna: Ahem, have you finished filling it out?

Janna: That report... just pretend you didn't see it. Don't ever reveal the contents to anyone!

Janna: I'm serious! I could get into trouble, okay?

Janna: Ahem, good. Then let me take a look at your application form. Oh! You don't have a goal for enlisting?

Janna: Of course, it's to follow the commander and cross the Bulwark, right? Is there a reason why you checked "undecided"?

Janna: What? You don't know what's beyond the Bulwark? It's a paradise without Balaur or Asmodians!

Janna: We already rescued Phernos, so it's only a matter of time before we cross the Bulwark!

Janna: How can I be so sure without having gone myself? Uhh, well... why don't you ask the commander?!

Janna: Since the commander knows the Bulwark plan best. Just... don't mention that report, okay...?

Caelid: ‹your name›, what brings you here?

Caelid: Our reason for crossing the Bulwark? Hmm, I guess my explanation wasn't clear enough.

Caelid: No one has been beyond the Bulwark, so your doubt is understandable. The concept of a paradise could feel vague and distant too.

Caelid: But it wasn't a lie. There was a book that gave me solid proof.

Caelid: Some distrusted the book's authenticity, but all doubts disappeared after Phernos appeared.

Caelid: Would you like to read it?

Caelid: Great, come to my office.

Caelid: What in the world is going on?!

Fallen Member: Ugh, it's terrible! That troublesome Belgor...!

Fallen Member: He took something of the Captain's...! A chest under the desk... he took it...

Fallen Member: I tried to stop him, but... I failed, ugh...

Caelid: A chest? That was...!

Caelid: We must hurry to find Belgor. ‹your name›, please search for any witnesses in the base.

Caelid: I'll take care of the injured and then issue search orders.

Hang in there. We'll stop the bleeding and get you to a doctor.

Shuron: What? Who are you looking for? Belgor, that guy who's always complaining?

Shuron: Oh dear, looks like he's caused some trouble. Come to think of it, I saw him running out of the base earlier!

Shuron: He seemed to be carrying something... Did he steal something? Tsk, I knew he'd cause trouble sooner or later.

Etezia: Ugh, why is there so much work to do...

Etezia: What? Belgor? Sure, I saw him running by just a moment ago.

Etezia: I was going to ask him a favor, but he completely ignored me! Tsk, does he think he's the only one with things to do!?

Caelid: ‹your name›! I think I found him. Come here quickly.

Caelid: Fortunately, there were many witnesses, but that also means we have multiple contenders.

Caelid: One is a cave near the Eastern Cantas Valley, the other is in the ruins by the marsh.

Caelid: This is practically mutiny. I'd like to resolve this quietly if possible.

Caelid: You and I will handle this together.

Caelid: You take care of the cave. I'll go to the ruins.

Caelid: If nothing is found, would you come to the ruins? I'll head for the cave if they're not there.

Caelid: They have already attacked a fellow member before. Be careful, you don't know what they'll do.

Belgor: Damn, this is it?

Renegade Slayer: Is that Caelid?

Belgor: Wait! It's not Caelid!

Renegade Slayer: What? Then who's this?

Belgor: Hey, let's talk for a moment.

Belgor: I was wondering who you were. You're the newbie, right?

Belgor: Did Caelid send you to capture me? Hmph, so he doesn't even think I'm worth his time.

Belgor: Well, that's just how he is. His head is always in the clouds.

Belgor: That worthless blowhard. He doesn't care about his legionnaires' lives when it comes to the Bulwark. What? Am I wrong?

Belgor: Ha, another fool who fell for Caelid's delusions. Do you know how many of us he brought just to save that old man in Poeta?

Belgor: Dozens! Including many of my dearest comrades...!

Belgor: Do you think that's right? And look at this!

Belgor: This chest is something Caelid always kept close. Do you know what was inside?

Belgor: I thought there'd be treasure or at least a bunch of Kina. But no, it's just this old, worn book!

Belgor: Phew... And don't get me started on the contents. Here, take a look for yourself.

Belgor: He's obsessed with some worthless prophecy written by a nobody! He doesn't deserve to be our Captain.

Belgor: Don't throw your life away for nothing. Caelid doesn't care about any of us.

Caelid: You've got it all wrong.

Caelid: I've never abandoned my subordinates, not once. And that includes you.

Caelid: If you admit your mistake, I'll let this whole thing slide.

Belgor: So, the dreamer finally deigns to show his face! Ha! You think I'm the one at fault here?

Belgor: Do you know how many died in Poeta? Mardis, Namir, Claire, Ilia... I can't even count them all!

Belgor: Our legionnaires were dying, and you used up all our supplies trying to save that old man! What makes this Phernos so important?

Caelid: He made me a promise. He said he'd guide us beyond the Bulwark.

Caelid: That is what we've been fighting for. It's our only hope of living safe, happy lives!

Belgor: Enough of your nonsense!

Belgor: It's all the same whether I die here or die trying to reach the Bulwark! I won't fall for your lies again!

Belgor: Kill them all!

You will fail, Caelid!

Caelid: And so... it has come to this.

Caelid: Are you okay? I'm ashamed you had to see such a sight.

Caelid: I'm... fine. This has happened before.

Caelid: When people feel uncertain about the present and can't see the future, they lose their reason and get stuck in the past, hesitant to move forward.

Caelid: It's understandable... I've been there before.

Caelid: But then I found this book.

Caelid: It was in a cave where I was hiding from the Balaur. Despite the countless corpses piled around it, it remained untainted.

Caelid: I was so close to giving up, but this book hit me like a divine revelation telling me not to lose hope.

Caelid: From then on, I decided I must lead my legionnaires across the Bulwark. Of course, I couldn't convince everyone...

Caelid: What will you do? I don't want things to turn out like this again.

Caelid: I won't push you. It's your choice to make. Think it over carefully.

Caelid: Will you take this book back to Janna? Tell her to store it safely. She'll understand.

Caelid: I'll... stay here a little longer. These were once my subordinates... The least I can do is lay them to rest.

Kill that bastard!

May you rest peacefully in AION's embrace...

Did you see? Wasn't it unbelievable?

Janna: Oh, did you hear everything? You've kept the report a secret, right?

Janna: The Captain asked me to store this book? Th-This is the book from his office?!

Janna: Don't tell me the thief even stole this book? Oh my, oh my!

Janna: This book is extremely important to the Captain. That could have been a disaster!

Janna: Thank you for bringing it back. I'll make sure to lock it safely away again! Thanks for your hard work!
