Nania: ‹your name›, perfect timing! I was about to burst if I didn't tell someone.
Nania: Listen to this. Captain Caelid ordered a cleanup of the Legion base.
Nania: Of course, everyone else is busy, so it's just me and Luteros. But he's nowhere to be seen. I wonder if he sensed something!
Nania: This is hardly the first time he's slacked off like this. I'm sick of it!
Nania: The Captain needs to hear about this. ‹your name›, will you come back me up?
Nania: I'll make sure this is the last time he slacks off!
Talk · 1 line
Nania: He always disappears at times like this...
Step 1 · 15 lines
Caelid: ‹your name›, Nania. You look like you have a lot to say.
Nania: That's right, Captain. You ordered me and Luteros to clean the base, right?
Caelid: Yes, what's the problem?
Nania: Luteros, that's what! I've looked all over for him, but he's nowhere to be seen!
Nania: He's ignoring all my Selvis calls, too.
Nania: This isn't the first time he's slacked off like this. It's not like he's sneaking off to eat snacks. Even you can't keep defending him, Captain!
Caelid: Hmm, Luteros isn't the type to skip out on work...
Caelid: Wait... Is it already that day again...?
Caelid: Nania, you can stop looking for Luteros.
Nania: What do you mean? Are you letting him off again?
Caelid: I'll take care of this. Nania, please understand.
Nania: He can't keep getting away with this... Ugh, fine.
Nania: ‹your name›, meet me at the Command Post.
Caelid: What's going on at the Command Post?
Nania: I, uhh, need to grab some cleaning supplies from there!
Step 2 · 17 lines
Nania: Did anyone follow you?
Nania: I'll always follow the captain's orders, but something's too weird about Luteros...
Nania: I need to find out what he's up to. I have this feeling...
Nania: I'll keep watch here for anyone coming, so can you go check Luteros's desk?
Nania: You're worried about angering Captain Caelid? Come on, he just told us not to ask any more questions.
Nania: He won't mind if we investigate on our own. Besides, stopping Luteros from causing trouble will help the captain.
Nania: Come on, we don't have time. Hurry up and check.
Nania: I don't hear anyone coming. Hurry up and take a look!
Luteros's desk is covered with his favorite books.
Nania: Did you find anything?
Nania: There was a transaction record on Luteros' desk? What kind? Let me see!
Nania: Let's see... Pamos wine?
Nania: Ugh, I knew it! That idiot slinked off to get drunk!
Nania: ‹your name›, can you go to Pamos Farm and drag him back? Even the captain wouldn't have imagined this!
Nania: I'd go myself, but I have to finish cleaning up like the captain asked...
Nania: You need to rush right there to catch him red-handed. Justice is in our grasp! I'm counting on you!
Nania: Go teach him a lesson!
Step 3 · 10 lines
Pamos: No, no, no... This is bad...
Pamos: Ah, forgive me. I didn't see you there. You're looking for Luteros?
Pamos: We're acquainted, yes. He always orders our wine around this time every year.
Pamos: If everything had gone well, he would have received it today...
Pamos: But... the wagon delivering the wine was attacked by bandits. They took every last barrel.
Pamos: I just got back from telling Luteros. He got really angry and went straight to the bandits' den.
Pamos: I tried warning him it was dangerous, but he insisted on getting the wine back.
Pamos: If you're his friend, could you help him? It's too dangerous for him to go alone.
Pamos: I'll tell you where the den is. They're notorious bandits around this area.
Pamos: They're not easy to deal with, so please be careful.
Step 4 · 29 lines
Careful... Careful...
Luteros: Ahhh! You... You scared me!
Luteros: Shhh, don't make so much noise. How did you get here?
Luteros: What? Nania sent you to bring me back?
Luteros: She thinks I slacked off to drink... Does she really think so little of me?
Luteros: It's... a long story. And very personal.
Luteros: But since you're here, let's get that wine back together. Looks like they're already plenty drunk.
Luteros: We should be able to just sneak in and grab it, no issue. There are a lot of barrels, but Pamos wine has a unique scent you'll know right away.
Luteros: Let's split up and search. I'll take the left side. You take the right side, quietly!
Luteros: Not this one... not that one either...
Drunken Bandit: *snore*
Ugh... Why is the world spinning...?
Spin, spin, round and round...
I think there was something in that wine...
Luteros: Here! Come quick, ‹your name›!
Luteros: This is it, this is it! Can you smell that?
Luteros: Real, authentic Pamos wine! Those idiots! They ignored the best one!
Luteros: Let's hurry and get out of here!
Luteros: Wait... I think I was too loud...
Drunken Bandit Captain: I don't wanna go to sk... What's all this noise?!
Drunken Bandit Captain: I-Intruders! Wake up, you drunks!
Luteros: Damn, we've been caught... Looks like we'll have to fight our way out.
Wine thief!
Luteros: Worthless drunkards.
Luteros: Sorry about all that. I was even the one who warned you to be quiet...
Luteros: But at least we got the wine back. I really needed this today...
Luteros: Anyway, let's get out of here. We need to get this wine back to the farm owner.
Luteros: Well, see you at Pamos Farm.
Drunken Bandit Captain: I can have another glass...
Step 5 · 3 lines
Pamos: Aha, you've returned safe and sound! What a relief.
Pamos: You even brought back the other wine barrels... Just a moment, I'll fill a bottle for you.
Pamos: Just place the remaining wine barrels over there in the empty spot. Thank you so much.
Step 6 · 1 line
Eldron: Ooo, the wine made it back.
Step 7 · 11 lines
Eldron: Did you bring them back?
Luteros: That is right, sir. We couldn't let such precious wine go to waste.
Eldron: I'll be! You're Cardis, aren't you?
Eldron: Finally decided to show your face, eh? Not a peep for years, then you just show up!
Luteros: You... know my brother?
Eldron: Why wouldn't I? You always come around to buy our wine. Wait a minute... You're not Cardis, are you?
Eldron: Brother... Brother... That's it! Could you be Luteros?
Luteros: Y-Yes! How do you know my name...?
Eldron: That boy's always running his mouth about you! Says you're gonna be the best warrior Elysea's ever seen once you're a Daeva!
Eldron: Is your brother busy these days? Tell him to drop by sometime, and give him my regards, would you?
Luteros: I'll... pass it on...
Step 8 · 5 lines
Luteros: ‹your name›, I should get going. The wine will be ready by now.
Luteros: About that long story... You see, I skipped cleaning to find the wine because...
Luteros: Actually, just come with me. Company would be nice.
Luteros: Head east from the Eastern Cantas Valley, and you'll find an Updraft.
Luteros: Ride the Updraft and land on the small island above. I'll be waiting there.
Step 9 · 1 line
Luteros: Over here, over here!
Turning in · 13 lines
Luteros: Thanks for coming all this way. Well, this is why I needed the wine.
Luteros: This is... Heh... This is my brother's memorial. He... returned to Odyle's embrace a long time ago...
Luteros: He was a Daeva of the Dawn Legion, same as me. He lost his life at the hands of the Balaur while infiltrating a base.
Luteros: I remember the moment I learned what happened. It was sunset. And... I had only just ascended as a Daeva.
Luteros: At first, I loathed being a Daeva. It felt like my ascension was granted to me in exchange for my brother having to die...
Luteros: Of course, I know logically there's no connection, but the guilt ate away at me all the same.
Luteros: So even after ascending as a Daeva, I refused to use my wings.
Luteros: But then, I remembered how much my brother loved the sky.
Luteros: And while looking for a spot for his memorial, I came to appreciate my wings for the first time.
Luteros: Since then, I've visited this place every year on the anniversary of his death. Bringing the Pamos wine he loved...
Luteros: Thanks to you, I heard a new story about my brother. He really believed I was destined for greatness... Heh, that idiot...
Luteros: *sigh*... Well, it's not for me to let him down. I'll have to make sure I'm indispensable to the Dawn Legion!
Luteros: Haha, it feels good to share this with someone. Thank you for being here today. I'm so glad you joined us.
When it is done
"Well, this is why I needed the wine." Nania was growing extremely frustrated with Luteros, who often disappeared during work hours. When even Caelid turned a blind eye to his behavior, an exasperated Nania decided to investigate on her own. Tracking Luteros's movements led her from the Pamos Wine Farm to a nearby bandit den. Luteros purchases Pamos wine at the same time every year, but this year, the farm's cart was ambushed and the wine stolen. After a difficult struggle, they managed to recover the stolen wine with Luteros and return it to the farm, where the truth behind the wine was finally revealed. Luteros visits his brother's memorial stone every year on the anniversary of his death, bringing his favorite wine in remembrance. Luteros feels a sense of quiet guilt over the fact his ascension coincided with his brother's final moments. Yet a moment later he brushed off the sorrow on his face and returned to his usual cheerful self.
