Amaris: Greetings, Daeva! Would you take one of our missing person flyers?
Amaris: Recently, several children who arrived with pilgrims at the rest stop have disappeared one after another. Just yesterday, the third child went missing.
Amaris: Could you help bring these poor children back to the embrace of the Illusion God? Descriptions and last seen locations are listed on the flyers.
Talk · 1 line
Amaris: Please help find the missing children!
Step 2 · 3 lines
Amaris: You'll help look for the children? Oh goodness, thank you so much!
Amaris: It's not easy to search with only the information written there, is it?
Amaris: A group of pilgrims who went looking for them just came back. They were unsuccessful, but they should have useful information. They're near the rest stop.
Step 3 · 15 lines
Zora: What? You'll help find the children?
Zora: Please, please find our Theo! And punish the heartless monster who took him!
Zora: Of course it's a kidnapping! There are way too many oddities for this to be a kid running off.
Zora: Three kids vanishing in the exact same way in just a few days. Is that normal? Someone clearly abducted them!
Zora: O Great Empyrean Lords, guide Theo and the other children back with the light of Illusion...!
Kavian: Don't come any closer! You'll scare the child!
Kavian: *sigh* ...Forgive me. Ever since Velina went missing, I've been on edge.
Kavian: A few days ago, someone even tried to approach Seth, which only made me more anxious. If I hadn't happened to be passing by and called out...
Kavian: Well, the child was too startled to remember their face... But I doubt it was a pilgrim.
Kavian: It must've been someone newly converted, or a heretic. No true follower of the Illusion God would commit such a vile act.
Deovar: Hmm, I'm not sure. Honestly, I've had no time to worry about disappearances.
Deovar: Of course, it's tragic. I have a daughter myself. I know how much it must hurt.
Deovar: But what can we do? As they always say, it must be due to a lack of prayer.
Deovar: Still, who knows? If they devote themselves to praying with all their heart... maybe the Empyrean Lords will return their children.
Deovar: Even though... they never answered mine... Well then, take care.
Step 4 · 3 lines
Amaris: Did you find anything useful? You want to visit the site where the children vanished?
Amaris: It's already been searched multiple times. I doubt anything new will turn up. Still, you might find something others missed.
Amaris: The site is to the northeast of here. If you discover anything, please let me know.
Step 5 · 1 line
There might be a small clue that was easy to miss. Take a look around.
Step 6 · 2 lines
The shiny object is a fragment of the Destroyed Ruins. It looks like it has been left here for a long time.
Too many people have passed through here. The footprints are unidentifiable.
Step 8 · 5 lines
Amaris: Did you find something?
Amaris: Yellow, fluffy fur... And scentless flower petals?
Amaris: Those flowers are rare around here... They usually grow in highland regions.
Amaris: Let's go ask Deovar. He lives up in the highlands.
Amaris: I'll tell you where to find his house. Meet me there.
Step 9 · 2 lines
Amaris: Deovar? Elira? Is anyone home?
Amaris: That's strange... Why is no one here? Should we look inside?
Step 11 · 1 line
There appears to be an opening in the cliff that someone could pass through. Inform Amaris.
Step 12 · 3 lines
Amaris: I knew you'd find it! Where exactly did you say it was?
Amaris: A hidden entrance to the north of the site... Please, go ahead and find the children.
Amaris: Please find them first. I'll catch up soon!
Turning in · 7 lines
Kavian: Thank you so much, noble Daeva! Thank you for bringing Velina back to us!
Zora: And our Theo, too...! *sob*
Valdor: May the Lord always watch over you, noble Daeva.
Amaris: Seeing all their happy faces... it fills my heart with warmth and comfort. Thank you again for helping bring the children back safely.
Amaris: What's that? Do I... resent the Empyrean Lords?
Amaris: Not in the slightest! No matter what hardships come, I find comfort in knowing they're all part of a divine plan.
Amaris: But we should all pray even more earnestly to make sure what happened to Deovar never happens again. For the Empyrean Lord we serve, for Deovar and Elira... and for you, noble Daeva.
When it is done
"The Empyrean Lords are worthless. No matter how much I cried, begged, or struggled..." After a string of child disappearances was reported in the Garden of the Illusion God, you decided to assist the pilgrims in finding their missing children. After carefully examining the sites where the children were last seen, evidence led to the highlands. Following the clues from there revealed that a pilgrim named Deovar was responsible for the kidnappings. Once a devout believer, Deovar had lost his faith following the death of his daughter and began abducting other pilgrims' children in as act of blasphemy against the gods. Using Deovar's diary, you were able to find the captive children was discovered. Thankfully, they were rescued unharmed and reunited with their parents.
