The Sorcerer Solo, Nightmare and PvP survival build in AION 2 (PvE & PvP, damage) is played around Hellfire 8, Winter's Shackles and Defiance, with Steel Barrier, Arctic Armor and Fire Wall 10 as stigmas. From 5 player sources on Reddit, Inven (KR) and Bahamut (TW), updated Oct 17, 2026; every name checked against the client.
The Sorcerer is paper-thin, so players swap Cold Storm for Steel Barrier in Nightmares and solo play, and lean on Steel Barrier with Arctic Armor when they fight players. A mobile Hellfire helps in both. This is a survival patch on the main build, not a separate PvP build.
Thin evidence: three Reddit threads. Korean threads call Sorcerer PvP very weak (no real crowd control since Frost was cut, poor Abyss damage) and no Korean PvP guide exists. Korea also cut PvP damage by 30% on 14 Oct, which global lacks. Nobody here posted a PvP build worth copying.
Hellfire — Take the level-8 'Changes to mobile skill' option so you can move while casting. Players weigh it against the +30% Skill Speed option.
Winter's Shackles — Its level-8 mobile option and 30% Frost chance (3 s) are the only soft control the kit offers; the client text is the source for both.
Defiance — Not named by players, but the client's level-16 option adds +50% PvE and +25% PvP Damage Tolerance for the Tenacity duration, and level 8 restores 20% HP.
Stigmas
Steel BarrierPlayers say it keeps damage up in solo and Nightmare fights. The client: +10% PvE and +5% PvP Damage Tolerance at 15, -15 s cooldown at 20.
Arctic ArmorThe second defensive buff for PvP kiting. At 20 the client gives +20% PvE and +10% PvP Damage Tolerance.
Fire WallLv 10Keeps area damage while the other two slots do the surviving.
Swaps for this mode
Cold Storm→Steel Barrier— the most repeated advice for Nightmares and solo play.
Delayed Explosion→Arctic Armor— for PvP, as one player described it; you give up the damage window.
Talents: skill specializations
What each level of the build's skills opens in the client — the options you pick at 8 (actives) and the ones that come at 12, 16 and the stigma levels.
Options and the levels that open them are the client's (SpecializedSkillParts); lit = reached at the level this build aims for (skill points buy up to 10, stigmas 20 — the rest are bonus levels).
Talents: Daevanion boards
All five boards with a computed build for this role already learned — lit nodes are taken. Then what players do on the boards.
Most skill levels: +35 skill levels · 88 nodes · 136 pts. Computed by us — again and again the cheapest path with the most of the goal per point, for the points levels give at the cap. Change it in the planner →
Gear for the Solo, Nightmare and PvP survival build
The Sorcerer's top pieces, and what this build wants rolled on each.
% = chance one soul binding gives that line on that piece — our calculation from the client's weights, as on the item pages. Skills listed are the ones this build raises past what points buy; stats are the ones it ranks. Gear Transfer moves good lines onto a better piece.
Rotation
1Presets switch free, and stigma and skill resets cost nothing: keep one preset for each kind of fight.
Tips and common mistakes
Tips
✦Players call solo PvP middle of the pack, and fun with the barrier and armor up.
✦Taiwanese players say the same on their forum: fight in big groups, not duels, and expect Hellfire and Cold Storm to miss when the target is lost.
Common mistakes
✕Fighting a dispel: one commenter says the class collapses once its buffs are dispelled at similar gear.
✕Expecting crowd control: Korean threads (April to July) say the class has little of it since Frost was nerfed.
Where this build comes from
Low: three Reddit threads agree on the Steel Barrier swap; solo PvP strength is described as middling by one thread and as bad by Korean opinion posts. Nobody posted numbers. Taiwanese forum threads also call Sorcerer PvP weak and advise big-group fights over duels.

Everything exists to land as many big, fully buffed Hellfire casts as possible; players quote about 28 a minute on a good Korean setup. Most global players macro the filler skills but keep Hellfire and the buffs by hand, so that Element Enhancement, Delayed Explosion and Winter's Shackles line up with the cast. Korean guides add Firestorm and Bittercold Wind to the filler line.

The macro question is open: global threads favour manual Hellfire and buffs, while Korean guides and a few Reddit players say the class is macro-heavy later. Korean numbers come from Korean gear.
