Kanes: It's been killing me for a while... It must be my poor posture... This won't do. I need medicine! Something that will heal me once and for all!
Kanes: Huh? You think no such thing exists? Haven't you heard, that Markan over there is said to concoct all kinds of cures every night!
Kanes: He's making quite a name for himself. Apparently, they're so good that they can make a patient jump up from their deathbed.
Kanes: I'm sure that would cure my back! But the thing is, we had a little argument recently...
Kanes: That's it! You can ask him for me! Hmm, you shouldn't turn up empty-handed though...
Kanes: I have just the thing! He's always in need of more Drana liquid. If you catch the Congealed Drana nearby, they should provide plenty.
Kanes: Give it as a gift to Markan and then ask him about his medicine. Be subtle about it!

Markan: I don't think such a medicine exists. Nor am I making any.
Markan: He's always been gullible... It's a wonder how he's managed to survive so long in this dreadful world.
Markan: Don't worry, I'll give him a good talking to. Sorry that you had to come all this way.

When it is done
"This won't do. I need medicine! Something that will heal me once and for all!" Militia Member Kanes has been suffering from terrible back pain lately. He figures the problem is standing in one spot for too long, and is desperate for some kind of remedy. He heard a rumor that a Creion named Markan knows how to concoct a medicine so powerful it could wake someone from their deathbed, and asked you to find out if it's true. Kanes suspected that Markan would not be helpful if you showed up empty-handed, and suggested you gather some Drana liquid first before heading over to see him. Markan was amused, saying he's never heard of any such miracle cure, and wondered where such bizarre rumors even start. When he found out Kanes sent you, he expressed concern about how gullible Kanes is. Still, he was grateful for the Drana liquid and told you to come to him if you ever need something.
