The Assassin PvP / Abyss (Korea) build in AION 2 (PvP, damage) is played around Quick Slice, Insignia Explosion and Heart Gore, with Swift Contract, Evasion Stance, Smoke Bomb and Shadow Walk as stigmas; stats in order: Accuracy > PvP Damage Boost > Evasion > Critical Damage Boost. From 5 player sources on Inven (KR) and Bahamut (TW), updated Oct 17, 2026; every name checked against the client.
Korean guides describe the Assassin in PvP as a fragile fighter who wins by picking its fights: open from stealth or a stun, burst with the Quick Slice / Insignia Explosion / Heart Gore trio, and use Defiance to survive. Stat lines favour Accuracy and PvP damage over defence.
Korean material from August to October, and Korea cut PvP damage by about 30% on 14 Oct and changed block and dodge refunds; global has neither. One October guide calls this the Assassin's darkest period. Do not copy numbers.
Quick Slice — Part of the same trio; the Korean sample took all three to 20.
Defiance — Korean players raise it to 20. The level-16 option adds +25% PvP Damage Tolerance for the Tenacity duration.
Shadowstrike — Sometimes taken to 20 as the engage; level 12 has a 50% chance to Root.
Stigmas
Swift ContractA Korean guide keeps it for "10% attack". The global client lists +10% Combat Speed at level 20 and no attack boost, so that line comes from Korea's higher levels.
Evasion StanceThe escape tool; after 14 Oct Korea's dodge cooldown refund also helps it.
Smoke BombKept for its interaction with the Exposed debuff, the guide says.
Shadow WalkStealth opener: the client's level-5 option is a Critical Hit on attack during Stealth. This is our reading of the guide's "stealth" stigma — there is only one in the class.
Spiral SliceThe buff stripper; the guide says a nerf means it often fails to strip.
Aerial BindNeeds full Insignia stacks for its stun, and is weaker after the Spiral Slice change.
Swaps for this mode
Triniel's Dagger→Evasion Stance— the August review rates the dagger poorly in PvP.
Illusive Clone→Swift Contract— Clone is mostly a PvE tool; PvP guides keep it only for duration.

Gear for the PvP / Abyss (Korea) build
The Assassin's top pieces with the PvP amulet, and what this build wants rolled on each.
% = chance one soul binding gives that line on that piece — our calculation from the client's weights, as on the item pages. Skills listed are the ones this build raises past what points buy; stats are the ones it ranks. Gear Transfer moves good lines onto a better piece.
1Open from stealth or a stun, burst with the trio, then use Defiance when the fight turns.
2Korean guides say to avoid group wars where the Assassin is not helpful, and to aim for last hits on Abyss field bosses.
Tips and common mistakes
Tips
✦Taiwanese players (Bahamut, May, Taiwan server) argue over Defense Break: the original poster calls it huge, replies say it is rarely taken past the mid-teens because of its cooldown. They also say Shadowstrike stuns reliably only when it lands, not on every cast. Old and heated threads, so treat both as unproven.
Common mistakes
✕Copying the old "Evasion 500 / Defense 5000" setup: a Korean guide calls it obsolete.
✕Trading away Hundred-Captain or Thousand-Captain armour: you lose its soul-binding value.
Where this build comes from
Low: one newcomer guide from 15 Oct and one stigma-by-stigma review from August, plus a patch note; five other posts from August to October only agree that the class is weak in PvP. Two Taiwanese Bahamut threads from May argue over the same skills and settle nothing.

Damage comes from one burst window: Swift Contract, Illusive Clone and Triniel's Dagger go up together, and while they run you spam Insignia Explosion and Heart Gore from behind the boss. A right-click macro holds the spam and the left button is held down at the same time so Quick Slice cancels animations and keeps cooldowns turning. Savage Fang is the fourth stigma here; the next build swaps it for safety.
The same bar, macro and burst window, with Evasion Stance in the fourth stigma slot instead of Savage Fang. Supporters say it saves deaths, stamina and uptime while you learn a fight; opponents say Savage Fang is worth more once you can dodge well. Illusive Clone, Swift Contract and Triniel's Dagger are not in dispute.

Evidence is a long argument rather than a measured test: at least five commenters back Evasion Stance and at least four back Savage Fang, none with a damage comparison.
Until the breakpoints arrive, keep the bar small: Insignia Explosion and Heart Gore on the macro, Quick Slice held on the left button, and spend stigma points on the pair that players buy first. Expect to be passed over in public groups and to form your own.

Thin evidence: no post is a leveling guide. This build is assembled from complaint and advice threads and one Korean ranking, which calls the class weak at low level.
