The Assassin PvE safe (Evasion Stance) build in AION 2 (PvE, damage) is played around Insignia Explosion 16, Heart Gore 16 and Quick Slice 16, with Illusive Clone 20, Swift Contract 10, Triniel's Dagger 10 and Evasion Stance 5 as stigmas; stats in order: Critical Hit > Cooldown Reduction > Combat Speed. From 5 player sources on Reddit, updated Oct 17, 2026; every name checked against the client.
The same bar, macro and burst window, with Evasion Stance in the fourth stigma slot instead of Savage Fang. Supporters say it saves deaths, stamina and uptime while you learn a fight; opponents say Savage Fang is worth more once you can dodge well. Illusive Clone, Swift Contract and Triniel's Dagger are not in dispute.
Evidence is a long argument rather than a measured test: at least five commenters back Evasion Stance and at least four back Savage Fang, none with a damage comparison.
Evasion StanceLv 5The client's level-5 option is +1 consecutive use, which is the two-charge dodge players describe. At 10 it changes to a mobile skill; some players push it to 10 if they can without cutting the other three.
Swaps for this mode
Savage Fang→Evasion Stance— fewer deaths while the fight is new; a top-10 server player made this swap and advises it.
Evasion Stance→Smoke Bomb— one top player took Smoke Bomb for extra damage instead; Korean guides rate it at only about 2% of damage.
Gold numbers are past what skill points buy (level 10): the rest comes from Daevanion skill nodes, soul binding and arcana — how to get there.
Talents: skill specializations
What each level of the build's skills opens in the client — the options you pick at 8 (actives) and the ones that come at 12, 16 and the stigma levels.
Deals up to 12% more damage when less targets are hit
Level 12
-1s [Shadowstrike] cooldown on hit
Level 16
Pulls nearby targets on using [Savage Smash]
Options and the levels that open them are the client's (SpecializedSkillParts); lit = reached at the level this build aims for (skill points buy up to 10, stigmas 20 — the rest are bonus levels).

Gear for the PvE safe (Evasion Stance) build
The Assassin's top pieces, and what this build wants rolled on each.
% = chance one soul binding gives that line on that piece — our calculation from the client's weights, as on the item pages. Skills listed are the ones this build raises past what points buy (Insignia Explosion, Heart Gore, Quick Slice); stats are the ones it ranks. Gear Transfer moves good lines onto a better piece.
1Identical to the burst build; spend Evasion Stance on mechanics you cannot perfect-dodge while the Clone window is up.
Tips and common mistakes
Tips
✦Several players say they deal more and die less after dropping Savage Fang; another answers that uptime is already full without it.
✦Take Evasion Stance until you can clear a fight perfectly, then reconsider.
Common mistakes
✕Treating Evasion Stance as a replacement for the Ambush Stance passive — one is a stigma, the other a passive, so they never compete for the same slot.
Where this build comes from
Split: the argument shows up in at least four threads, with both camps agreeing that Clone, Swift Contract and Triniel's Dagger are fixed.
Read on Oct 17, 2026 on Reddit; the words are ours. Every skill, stigma and stat named here exists in the global client 2.0.6.0 hotfix 1 — a name it does not have stops our build.

Where does this build come from?
Split: the argument shows up in at least four threads, with both camps agreeing that Clone, Swift Contract and Triniel's Dagger are fixed. Damage comes from one burst window: Swift Contract, Illusive Clone and Triniel's Dagger go up together, and while they run you spam Insignia Explosion and Heart Gore from behind the boss. A right-click macro holds the spam and the left button is held down at the same time so Quick Slice cancels animations and keeps cooldowns turning. Savage Fang is the fourth stigma here; the next build swaps it for safety.
Korean guides describe the Assassin in PvP as a fragile fighter who wins by picking its fights: open from stealth or a stun, burst with the Quick Slice / Insignia Explosion / Heart Gore trio, and use Defiance to survive. Stat lines favour Accuracy and PvP damage over defence.
Korean material from August to October, and Korea cut PvP damage by about 30% on 14 Oct and changed block and dodge refunds; global has neither. One October guide calls this the Assassin's darkest period. Do not copy numbers.
Until the breakpoints arrive, keep the bar small: Insignia Explosion and Heart Gore on the macro, Quick Slice held on the left button, and spend stigma points on the pair that players buy first. Expect to be passed over in public groups and to form your own.

Thin evidence: no post is a leveling guide. This build is assembled from complaint and advice threads and one Korean ranking, which calls the class weak at low level.
