The Ranger PvE damage (Vaizel 20) build in AION 2 (PvE, damage) is played around Deadshot 16, Marking Shot and Gale Arrow 16, with Vaizel's Authority 20, Bow of Blessing 10, Supporting Fire 10 and Griffon Arrow as stigmas; stats in order: Critical Hit > Penetration > Damage Boost > Combat Speed. From 11 player sources on Reddit, 17173 (CN) and Bahamut (TW), updated Oct 17, 2026; every name checked against the client.
One stigma rush and three skills at 16. Get Vaizel's Authority to 20 before anything else, push Deadshot, Gale Arrow and Snipe (or Tempest Shot) to 16 through Daevanion, rings and arcana, hold Snipe on the left mouse button, and put the filler arrows on one right-click macro. Cast Deadshot charged and Marking Shot yourself.
Gold numbers are past what skill points buy (level 10): the rest comes from Daevanion skill nodes, soul binding and arcana — how to get there.
Deadshot — The best single hit, and it only reaches full power when you hold the charge, so it never goes in the macro. The client's level-12 option makes it ignore Block and Evasion and land as Multi-Hit; level 16 adds extra damage on hit.
Marking Shot — Keeps the mark and its Precision up. Players recast it about 2 s before it runs out and never from the macro, because it moves you in the direction you press. The client's level-16 option makes it land as a critical hit.
Gale Arrow — Named as a main requirement by the threads. The client's level-16 option takes 10 s off its cooldown.
Snipe — The left-click skill. One player says level 16 plus combat-speed items doubled their damage; the client's level-16 option adds a Tempest Arrow chain skill and level 12 takes 1 s off Deadshot on hit.
Tempest Shot — The alternative to a 16 Snipe. Its client level-16 option is +20% skill speed.
Drill Dart — Part of the right-click macro with Gale Arrow and Tempest Shot for one player.
Stigmas
Vaizel's AuthorityLv 20Priority over everything, even Bow of Blessing at 15. Players report a large jump in damage at 20. The client's level-20 option: a 50% chance to take 1 s off every cooldown on each critical hit while it lasts. Level 10 and 15 multiply Focused Eye and Hunter's Soul by 1.5.
Bow of BlessingLv 10Second priority at 10, some go to 15. The client gives +20% Critical Damage Boost at 15 and +7% Double Chance at 20.
Supporting FireLv 10Third by one ranking; another thread says wait for more stigma slots. The client's level-15 option is -30 s cooldown.
Griffon ArrowA damage-over-time arrow for bosses that some players slot as the fourth. Explosive Arrow is the alternative.
Gold numbers are past what skill points buy (level 10): the rest comes from Daevanion skill nodes, soul binding and arcana — how to get there.
Talents: skill specializations
What each level of the build's skills opens in the client — the options you pick at 8 (actives) and the ones that come at 12, 16 and the stigma levels.
Enhanced Crimson Flames - Extra damage when hit while afflicted with Crimson Flames
Level 20
-50% Damage over Time intervals
Options and the levels that open them are the client's (SpecializedSkillParts); lit = reached at the level this build aims for (skill points buy up to 10, stigmas 20 — the rest are bonus levels).
Talents: Daevanion boards
All five boards with a computed build for this role already learned — lit nodes are taken. Then what players do on the boards.
Most skill levels: +35 skill levels · 88 nodes · 136 pts. Computed by us — again and again the cheapest path with the most of the goal per point, for the points levels give at the cap. Change it in the planner →
What players do
•Attack and critical nodes first — one player takes every +3 Attack node and maybe every +5 critical node — then the stigma skill nodes, then refund stray points and put them into Vaizel's Authority.
•Use all general boards, Nezekan, Zikel, Vaizel and Triniel: each active-skill node is +1 level, which is the road from 10 to 16.
•Azphel holds PvP stats and does nothing for dungeons.
•Taiwanese players (a Tieba post reposted on 17173, 22 Aug) take every HP and defence node and nearly every skill node, leaving out Suppressing Arrow and Arrow Scattershot, and report +2.9k combat power. It is a different order from the one above and rests on Taiwan boards, so compare before copying.
Gear for the PvE damage (Vaizel 20) build
The Ranger's top pieces, and what this build wants rolled on each.
% = chance one soul binding gives that line on that piece — our calculation from the client's weights, as on the item pages. Skills listed are the ones this build raises past what points buy (Deadshot, Gale Arrow, Snipe, Tempest Shot); stats are the ones it ranks. Gear Transfer moves good lines onto a better piece.
Soul binding, as players put it
Bow, guard, rings: Combat Speed — These roll +1 levels to active skills. A ring with a Deadshot +1 line is how some players got to 16. Combat Speed lines on the weapon were the other big win in one report (a 1,500 gear-score player doubled damage with Snipe 16 and three such lines).
Armor, cloak, earrings, necklace:These roll passive skill levels only, so they will not help your 16s.
Manastones and arcana
•Critical Hit, Attack and Combat Speed, from the one player who wrote down their stones.
•Push Deadshot, Gale Arrow and Tempest Shot or Snipe to 16 through arcana and soul-binding lines; each effect on a card is +1, and enhancing grows one effect at a time.
Critical Hit:the one stat everybody insists on: the passives and the Vaizel's Authority cooldown reset all trigger on critical hits. The game caps it at 50% on global servers.
Rotation
1Open with the three buff stigmas, then Marking Shot, then a fully charged Deadshot.
3Keep the stigma buffs on their own keys so they land in the burst windows between boss mechanics instead of firing at random.
Tips and common mistakes
Tips
✦One 114k combat-power Ranger with Vaizel 20, Gale 16 and Deadshot 16 reports 34–35k damage standing still and 26–27k in moving conquest fights; without Vaizel 20 or Gale 16 the same player did 19–20k.
✦Pets: check the Genus — players say Cogni adds might and crit.
✦Taiwanese players (Bahamut, Sept) roll the pet board for Double Chance and attack, and some swap to front damage once crit and accuracy overflow. That pet board is a Taiwan feature, so do not copy it to global.
✦PvP, thin evidence: players say to keep your PvE gear but swap the skill set and the stigmas that give crowd control, and to take 5v5 and group fights, because Templars and Gladiators beat a Ranger one-on-one. One pre-spike setup was Supporting Fire 15, Vaizel's Authority 5, a damage-over-time arrow at 10 and a 30 s stigma at 5. A Korean thread of 29 Sept calls Ranger the weakest PvP class, with Mother Nature's Breath and Stealth as the only survival tools and no invulnerability.
Common mistakes
✕Macro-ing everything including Deadshot: it then casts uncharged.
✕Skipping crit stats — many passives and the level-20 reset need critical hits.
✕Spreading stigma points evenly instead of finishing one stigma at 20.
Where this build comes from
High: at least eight commenters across seven threads name Vaizel 20 and Deadshot 16. Disputed: whether Supporting Fire ranks above Bow of Blessing, whether Marking Shot may sit in a macro, and Snipe versus Tempest Shot as the second 16. Players say Vaizel 20 gives combat speed; the client's level-20 text is the cooldown reset, so that part is not confirmed here; Taiwanese players on 17173 and Bahamut run the same core (Marking Shot by hand, Vaizel's Authority tracked, Gale Arrow and Drill Dart in the macro).

Korea-only targets: levels 20 and above, passives in the thirties and the 3,700–3,900 Sanctuary crit cap need Korean gear. Use the order of priorities on global, not the numbers.
Taiwanese players describe the Ranger in PvP as a kiter: slow and stun with traps, keep Marking Shot up for the stun chance on Suppressing Arrow, and fight from the back of team fights. Their forum complains that the class is almost impossible to crowd-control, and the 17173 write-up calls it strong in group fights but awkward against dashing melee and high-defence Templars.
Read off the Taiwan server: a July complaint thread and two Chinese-language write-ups, no one posted a full setup. The evasion numbers players quote (about 4,200–4,500, over 5,000 fully buffed) are Taiwan gear. The Korean 29 Sept thread on the Korea build calls Ranger the weakest PvP class, so treat this as one side of an argument.
Until you can finish Vaizel's Authority at 20, play the same bar with fewer skills at 16 and spend stigma points as a rush: put points on Vaizel's Authority and Bow of Blessing first and refund any other stigma that is not paying off.

Thin evidence: no player wrote a leveling route; this is the stigma-point advice of four threads applied to the first levels.
