5 Templar builds players run on the global servers as of Oct 17, 2026: PvE damage and enmity, Party support tank, Natural block (Dexterity), PvP sustain (Korea) and Leveling and enmity basics. The PvE damage and enmity build is played around Judgment, Warding Strike and Shield Smite with Noble Armor, Taunt, Shield of Protection and Doom Shield as stigmas. Gathered from Reddit, Inven (KR) and Bahamut (TW), rewritten in our words, every skill and stat checked against the client.
Judgment. It is not a taunt tank. Shield, strike and rush skills trigger Judgment, and at skill level 16 the client removes its cooldown, so a two-button macro keeps it firing. Players say a Templar with that setup holds the boss by out-damaging everyone else and still brings the party a damage buff through 
Fury and 
Noble Armor.Judgment.Fury and Noble Armor.Korea runs ahead of global: Judgment and Pummel go to level 20, stigmas to 25, the Critical Hit cap is 80% (global: 50%), and Korean Templars play the class as a damage dealer with a normal-attack cancel layout. Korea's 14 Oct patch (PvP damage about -30%, block cooldown refunds) is not on global, where the same patch changed no class balance. Korean material below is labelled; global advice comes first.

Party support tankPvETankThe same kit tuned for groups in Transcendence and conquest runs. Use the shield stigmas on purpose, keep Fury fed, hold the debuffs on the boss and let Warding Strike carry the party's damage tolerance. Players say a Templar is worth an extra damage slot in a party.

Natural block (Dexterity)PvE & PvPTankA late idea from Taiwan: instead of rolling pure Block, keep your damage lines and raise Block through Dexterity on gear and the Space (Israphel) Pantheon stat. The author reached 3,326 Block in town and about 4,000 in a fire-dungeon fight with food and a defensive stance.
Read off the Taiwan server: the author's maths uses Taiwan's constants (from a Korean post) and the Asian Steam build lowers some Daevanion values, so the break-even point may differ in global. Gear tables were screenshots and are not repeated here.

Debilitating Smash running to cut its healing and live off Punishment lifesteal and shields. A second October build drops Judgment and fights with Pummel and Punishment on raw defence.
Korean servers only. Both builds were written before Korea's 14 Oct patch (PvP damage about -30%, block cooldown refund), and a 13 Oct thread calls Templar PvP broken against Gladiators. Treat as a direction, not a recipe; global has no matching gear tiers yet.
Leveling and enmity basicsLevelingTankOn the way up, keep the threat engine simple: spam Vicious Strike and Pummel, build around Judgment, max the passives that create threat, and take Taunt and Doom Shield first among the stigmas.

Per slot, the piece with the highest Item Level at its top enhance that a Templar can wear in the global client (Elyos side; the Asmodian twins are the same).
