The Chanter PvE damage + buffs build in AION 2 (PvE, damage) is played around Dark Crush 16, Onslaught 16 and Spinning Strike 16, with Undefeated Mantra 20, Power of the Storm 15, Marchutan's Wrath 5 and Sprint Mantra 10 as stigmas; stats in order: Double Chance > Critical Hit > Damage Boost > Critical Damage Boost. From 13 player sources on Reddit, Inven (KR), Bahamut (TW) and 17173 (CN), updated Oct 17, 2026; every name checked against the client.
Gold numbers are past what skill points buy (level 10): the rest comes from Daevanion skill nodes, soul binding and arcana — how to get there.
Dark Crush — Players agree it is the first skill to level. The client's level-8 option makes every hit critical; level 16 "Removes [Dark Crush] cooldown" (it is 5 s at level 10), so every trigger can be followed by a cast.
Onslaught — Never has a cooldown in the client, so players keep it off the macro and hold it on the mouse. Its level-12 option takes 1 s off Spinning Strike on every hit and level 16 adds the chain skill [Storm Chain].
Spinning Strike — One poster names it the hardest-hitting skill, and the client lists it as a trigger for Dark Crush. Its level-8 option takes 5 s off its cooldown.
Impactful Crush — Ranged trigger for Dark Crush and a chance of stun.
Incandescent Blow — Filler for when the triggers are cooling down. Players call it a trigger too, but the client's text for it has no Dark Crush line — the three triggers are Spinning Strike, Impactful Crush and Marchutan's Wrath.
Stigmas
Undefeated MantraLv 20Must-have. At 20 the client gives "+5% Double Chance", and its text says it replaces the Cleric's Light of Protection bonus when the two are the same level.
Power of the StormLv 15Level 15 adds "+200 Critical Hit". One player reports about 11k combat power from raising it to 15 instead of spending those points on Sprint Mantra.
Marchutan's WrathLv 5A third trigger for Dark Crush that you press by hand when the others are cooling down. Its level-5 option is up to +20% damage against fewer targets.
Sprint MantraLv 10Level 10 adds "+30% Natural Stamina Regen" on top of the heal-over-time on hits. Some players call it huge, others optional.
Swaps for this mode
Sprint Mantra→Healing Touch— when the group lacks healing; see the support build.
Marchutan's Wrath→Focused Defense— a block stigma some take when no other pick fits; its level-5 option gives a second use.

Talents: skill specializations
What each level of the build's skills opens in the client — the options you pick at 8 (actives) and the ones that come at 12, 16 and the stigma levels.
Options and the levels that open them are the client's (SpecializedSkillParts); lit = reached at the level this build aims for (skill points buy up to 10, stigmas 20 — the rest are bonus levels).
Talents: Daevanion boards

What players do
•Spend every point on the general boards — Nezekan, Zikel, Vaizel and Triniel: their skill nodes give +1 each, which together with a ring and an arcana card is how players reached Dark Crush 16.
% = chance one soul binding gives that line on that piece — our calculation from the client's weights, as on the item pages. Skills listed are the ones this build raises past what points buy (Dark Crush, Onslaught, Spinning Strike, Incandescent Blow); stats are the ones it ranks. Gear Transfer moves good lines onto a better piece.
Soul binding, as players put it
Weapon, guard, rings:These roll +1 levels to active skills: keep any Dark Crush +1 line — a ring with it is one of the ways players got the engine to 16. A second +1 on Onslaught is next.
Double Chance:the one stat players name; Korean guides rank it first among the must-haves and it helps spamming Spinning Strike.
Critical Hit:up to the 50% cap the game states. Dark Crush already crits through its level-8 option, so the points feed the other skills; the Korean 80% threshold for swapping in Inspiring Spell cannot be reached on global.
Rotation
1Bind the macro key to the right mouse button and hold the left button as well: the basic attack cancels macro animations and returns mana.
4Before Dark Crush is 16: macro one trigger only and press Dark Crush yourself when it comes off cooldown — back-to-back triggers waste a window.
Tips and common mistakes
Tips
✦Each left-click takes time off a cooldown, according to one player — a reason to keep the left button down the whole fight.
✦Keep a second skill preset: solo, group and PvP set-ups differ in which stigmas are swapped.
✦Players expect other classes to catch up when they reach their own breakpoints; the Chanter's lead is largest at modest combat power.
✦Taiwanese players keep the macro to one column, since two or more cut their Dark Crush count. Their order is Incandescent Blow, Impactful Crush, Spinning Strike, then Dark Crush last, the reverse of the order above; it follows a Taiwan patch that let ranged skills open Dark Crush, so test it before copying.
✦In the Taiwanese guide Power of the Storm goes first and Guardian Blessing right behind it, so the buff is not forgotten; players there note the cooldown cut only helps skills cast after it.

Questions
What is the Chanter PvE damage + buffs build?
Dark Crush is the engine. It cannot be used on its own: the client says a trigger skill — Spinning Strike, Impactful Crush or Marchutan's Wrath — makes it "available" for a short window, so you cast a trigger and Dark Crush fires right behind it. Put Dark Crush first in the macro, the triggers below it, and keep Onslaught out of the macro on the left button. Undefeated Mantra and Power of the Storm are the two stigmas players will not drop.
Which stigmas for the Chanter PvE damage + buffs build?
Undefeated Mantra (level 20), Power of the Storm (level 15), Marchutan's Wrath (level 5) and Sprint Mantra (level 10). Swaps: Sprint Mantra → Healing Touch, Marchutan's Wrath → Focused Defense.
Which skills to level first for Chanter PvE damage + buffs?
Dark Crush to 16, Onslaught to 16, Spinning Strike to 16, Incandescent Blow to 16, Undefeated Mantra to 20 and Power of the Storm to 15, in that order. Skill points buy up to level 10 (stigmas 20); higher levels come from Daevanion skill nodes, soul binding and arcana.
What stats for Chanter PvE damage + buffs?
Double Chance > Critical Hit > Damage Boost > Critical Damage Boost > Front Attack Damage Boost > Weapon Damage Boost. The global client caps Critical Hit at 50%.
What is the Chanter PvE damage + buffs rotation?
Bind the macro key to the right mouse button and hold the left button as well: the basic attack cancels macro animations and returns mana. Macro column: Dark Crush first, then Spinning Strike, Impactful Crush and Incandescent Blow; Onslaught stays outside it. Heals, buffs, mobility and stagger skills are pressed by hand. Korean players order the line as Dark Crush, Spinning Strike, Impactful Crush, Incandescent Blow and keep the in-game macro to one line. Before Dark Crush is 16: macro one trigger only and press Dark Crush yourself when it comes off cooldown — back-to-back triggers waste a window.
Where does this build come from?
Strong agreement: about ten comments across nine Reddit threads name Dark Crush 16 and Undefeated Mantra 20 as the core, and three Korean guides (Jun–Sep) build on the same loop. Disputed: the last stigma slots — Marchutan's Wrath, Sprint Mantra, Healing Touch, Focused Defense or Guardian Blessing — and whether the class is overtuned. Taiwanese players on Bahamut run the same core, Undefeated Mantra and Power of the Storm, and also call Marchutan's Wrath optional. Players' claim that level 16 "doubles" Dark Crush damage is not in the client's option text. The Chanter has one heal skill, Recuperation, and one healing stigma, Healing Touch. When a group has no Cleric, players swap damage stigmas for the party tools and accept fewer Dark Crush windows. Players are clear that this makes the Chanter a buffer who can also heal, not a primary healer.

Thin evidence: three Reddit threads and no Korean support guide — Korean groups leave healing to the Cleric.
A Korean expected-value post compared two ways to spend arcana and passive levels. For your own damage, Attack Preparation and Impact Hit come first; for the party's damage, Earth's Promise is worth far more than any personal passive — until a Cleric joins, when its debuff effect does not apply.
Korean analysis of 3 June with a Korean party of four; passive levels in it run past the global stigma and level caps. Use it as an order of priorities, not as numbers to copy.
Players describe the Chanter in the arena as the same macro for damage plus every crowd-control skill cast by hand in a chain. Defiance clears stuns and grants immunity, and one player swaps the party cooldown buff for the self HP buff so it feeds Wind's Promise at 15.

Three Reddit comments and one Korean thread. Korea cut PvP damage and refunded block cooldowns on 14 Oct; that is not a global patch. Spiritmaster and Templar are named as the hardest matchups.
