Nemon: Let's hope we're not too late.
Ulgorn: No need to worry about that, Nemon.
Ulgorn: You saw for yourself how little those graverobbers care for anything that won't make them money. Why should they care about a madman's dingy cave?
Nemon: Good point. Okay, let's go in.
Talk · 4 lines
Ulgorn: Zikel's Seal. The key used to enter the Archons' sanctum.
Ulgorn: Best to hang on to it.
Ulgorn: The helmet of a Destruction Archon. Must have been maintained well by the looks of it.
Ulgorn: Despite deserting, he still has a deep attachment to the Archons.
Step 2 · 3 lines
Nemon: As it stands, we need to find both the Destruction Archons Underground Fortress and the secret document detailing how to get inside.
Nemon: Gather as much information as you can, no matter how trivial. Grease palms with Kina and Odyle Jelly if necessary.
Nemon: All right, no time to waste!
Step 3 · 17 lines
Hevid: You new here? Trust me, there's nothing of worth left. You'd be better off looking elsewhere.
Hevid: The Destruction Archons' fortress? So you're the one who's been walking around asking questions...
Hevid: Regardless, I don't know anything. There are a few ruins around here, but none are anything special.
Hevid: Hmph, you really think I'd bother lying? There's nothing valuable, and being captured by marauders or Blades means death.
Dixie: Back with more questions?
Dixie: The Destruction Archon Underground Fortress? You really care about the most worthless things, huh? Not interested.
Dixie: ...What was that? Odyle Jelly? Now you're talking.
Dixie: Actually... I've seen two giant Archon statues near the eastern ruins. I was thinking they were lucky to have dodged all those bombardments, until I saw a Monolith underneath.
Dixie: My graverobber instincts were screaming there must be something more, but I couldn't find a way in.
Dixie: That entire area was devastated by Balaur bombardments. I used all my graverobbing expertise, but it was no good.
Dufaux: Going on about those Destruction Archons again, eh? ...Looking for something valuable over there, aren't you?
Dufaux: Why else would you be so obsessed? No? Hmm, if you say so...
Dufaux: A secret document about the underground fortress? I don't waste my time with paper.
Dufaux: Oh, but I do I remember noticing documents scattered inside one of the abandoned ruins recently.
Dufaux: Where? Somewhere to the south, I think? There was nothing there to make it worth remembering.
Found a statue of an Empyrean Lord.
There is nothing inside.
Step 4 · 14 lines
Nemon: Any useful information?
Nemon: Archon statues and a Monolith? Reminds me of Zikel's Sanctum.
Nemon: Then that place must be related to Zikel or the Destruction Archons. There's a good chance it's the underground fortress itself.
Nemon: That's a great find. Now all that's left is figuring out how to enter.
Ulgorn: How about we check out those abandoned ruins Dufaux mentioned? He said something about documents, too.
Nemon: Makes sense. If it's old, there's a good chance the Archons used it. We should search the whole area to the south.
Chedan: Hearing you talk, I realized something. I've been to that ruin before.
Chedan: But... I might need a little help remembering the exact location.
Ulgorn: What now?
Chedan: Hey, hey, there's no need to be so aggressive. I'm sure it'll be child's play for folk like you.
Chedan: You know the marauders near here? Apparently, they found a statue of Empyrean Lord Azphel in the ruins.
Chedan: I'd quite like it for myself. And while you're at it, why not pilfer another thing or two?
Chedan: You know, expensive things. Pendants, fancy chalices...
Ulgorn: Do you think we're here to run errands for you? Fine. Nemon, you stay here and keep an eye on this guy. We'll be right back.
Talk · 12 lines
Ulgorn: It's plainer than I imagined. Will we really find any clues about Zikel's Core here?
Nemon: Reuben insisted there would be something useful in his documents. Focus on finding them first.
Nemon: So, the high priest summoned the Destruction Archons to the Underground Fortress. And everything is recorded in the... Destruction Codex?
Nemon: Meaning if we can find the Destruction Codex in the Destruction Archon Underground Fortress, we'll find information about the Core. This is our best lead yet.
Ulgorn: But it mentions nothing about its exact location. Damn it, do we have to dig holes all over the Basfelt Ruins?
Nemon: There's more writing on the back.
Ulgorn: Oh? Aha, so there's a secret document somewhere detailing how to get to the underground fortress.
Ulgorn: But how can we find it?
Ulgorn: This area was the site of a brutal battle with the Balaur. At best, it was buried in the carnage. At worst, destroyed entirely...
Nemon: Fortunately, we just happen to be surrounded by expert diggers.
Ulgorn: Expert digg— The graverobbers!
Nemon: All right, I think we've got all that we can from here. We can talk more back at the Graverobber Campsite.
Turning in · 4 lines
Ulgorn: Here, we got what you asked.
Chedan: Let's see... Oh-ho! This is a good haul! You Daeva are the real deal, huh?
Chedan: Now, those abandoned ruins... Lemme think... Right! By the southern cliff!
Chedan: Just follow the path down, and you should see it.
When it is done
"This must be the location marked on the map." The documents found in Reuben's Hideout mentioned the fortress where the High Priest had last been and Archon scripture. Nemon speculated the fortress may lead you closer to the Core. You gathered information about the fortress and scripture from the graverobbers in Basfelt Ruins. In the Abandoned Ruins, you found Archon scripture, though it was torn. There were further records concerning a fierce war, the Underground Fortress, and the Blood Sword. Nemon was convinced that the Blood Monument would be the key to unlocking the Underground Fortress.
